Description:	The Position – This position requires a true “hands-on” person who can supervise and perform chemical handling operations (railcar offloading, truck loading, etc) as well as equipment and trailer maintenance for a chemical distribution operation. The ideal candidate will function as a working group leader with an excellent attitude, strong desire to learn, motivated to complete tasks and instill a sense of pride in the equipment and maintenance capabilities of the group. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for the safety behaviors and safety performance of the team. • Lead a group of 4 drivers and 1 yard operator and perform tasks relating to receiving, handling, and distributing chemicals involving railcars, trailers and packaging into drums and totes. • Ensure all company and regulatory policies are being administered in conformance with established guidelines. • Develop, lead and execute capital projects to improve safety and efficiency of the yard equipment and trailers. • Responsible for tracking critical operating metrics to ensure cost-efficient safe delivery of products. • Develop and monitor annual maintenance plans for company equipment to maximize operating efficiency. • Develop and manage annual operating budget for facility. Perform purchasing of supplies and coordinate payment to vendors for equipment and services. • Perform dispatch of shipments to customers as needed.
Requirements:	• Minimum 5-years managing in an operating facility along with chemical handling experience. • At least 3 years of direct supervision of hourly employees in chemical operations • Capital Project management and supervising contractors (electrical and mechanical) for equipment maintenance and improvements. • Candidate must be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook. • Proven experience managing in an operating facilities • Working knowledge of Transportation & Regulatory issues. Education: • HS diploma required • College coursework preferred
